Getting Started With Jesus
HOW?
We have experienced the reality that JESUS LOVES YOU! Not only does Jesus love you, He wants to be a part of your life. He wants to help you and lead you out of your current struggles and into abundant life. How does this happen? First, you must invite Him into your life. Jesus is a gentleman and will not force Himself upon you. You must ask Him to come into your life and lead you to a better life.

Asking Him In
How do you ask Jesus into your life? It is simple. You simply talk to Him and invite Him in. God is Spirit and is all around us all the time. We just have to talk to Him as we would another person. Just call out His name and talk to Him.
This is called prayer because we are looking to Him for help.
In your own words, pray something like this:
"Jesus, I need Your help. I want You to come into my life. My life is broken. My ways have not worked. Forgive me for trying to live a good life without You. I need You! I want You to help me. Teach me Your ways to abundant life. Lead me out of my messes. Help me Jesus."
Our experience is that Jesus will come into your life and begin to lead you to a new abundant life. It may not happen overnight, but it will happen.
If you have asked Him into your life we would love to know about that so we can pray for you.

What Next?
Well, we get to know the real Jesus, not just the one your have heard about, but the real Jesus, through the Bible.
Therefore, we encourage you to start reading the Bible daily. A good place to start is the Gospel of John in the New Testament. After that you can read the rest of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark and Luke.
As you read, ask Jesus to speak to you by His Holy Spirit. Look for Him to take the Scriptures come alive to you as you read your Bible and think about it throughout the day. The Bible teaches that no one can come to Jesus but that Father God leads them and no one can understand the Word of God but that the Spirit of God reveals it. So, when you read your Bible and find yourself saying things like, "I didn't know it said that!," or "I never saw it that way!," or even a Scripture sticks with you throughout the day, that is Jesus speaking to you by His Holy Spirit. This is especially true when the Word of God convicts you to believe, say or do something. That is God breathing faith into you through His Word by His Spirit. As you follow His Word and His leading, He will lead you right out of your mess and into His abundant life.
